Wide Eye Media is proud to sponsor the Film section of the Young Lions competition for the third year in a row.

The chosen charity for this year's Film category is Concern Worldwide and the brief will be revealed at the Cannes Young Lion Briefing Event happening on Wednesday 14th February in Odeon Point Village. The event is free of charge to attend and highly beneficial to anyone wanting to enter - You can book your place at the Young Lions Launch & Briefing Session here.

The Young Lions Competition, run in association with IAPI, gives the next generation of industry superstars the chance to prove themselves by creating campaigns during the Festival week. More than 400 contestants from around the world compete to win. They’ll have just 24 hours to answer a brief set by a non-profit, NGO, charity organisation before the work is judged by members of the Cannes Lions juries.

For the Irish heats, we are asking creatives to come up with a proposal that harnesses the power and innovative nature of cinema advertising to deliver Concern Worldwide’s brief. The cinema medium has been used extremely effectively and innovatively around the world. Examples of this can be found on http://www.wideeyemedia.com/The-Exchange/Innovations/

The winning submission will be made into a cinema ad, produced by Pull The Trigger. Wide Eye Media will air the winning ad and cover the cost of transfers, in addition to sending the winning pair of creatives to the Cannes Lions Festival to compete in the Cannes Young Lions competition.
